Standing Committees are workgroups where the Associated Students Senators research issues pertaining to students, deliberate on those issues and develop reports, resolutions, policies or statements in response to those issues.

External Affairs

External Affairs Committee discusses issues concerning students relating to entities outside the University.  Examples include the California State Student Association, the Northridge East Neighborhood Council, the City of Los Angeles and the California State Legislature.

Internal Affairs

Internal Affairs

Internal Affairs Committee discusses issues concerning the Programs and Services provided by the Associated Students.  They perform regular evaluations of the programs and make recommendations for improvement.  They also review any proposed new program ideas.

The University Affairs Committee discusses issues relating to the campus specifically with regards to the Policies and Practices of the University Administration.  This includes both the CSUN Administration and the Office of the CSU Chancellor.

Policies

Policies

The Policies Committee reviews the Codes, Policies and Procedures of the Associated Students and make recommendations for Policy and Code changes.  They also develop new codes and recommend the removal of obsolete codes.
