Annual Budget

Annual allocation process: This process establishes the general A.S. budget for the July-to-June fiscal year. It commences the preceding fall, when all prospective budget areas (or “departments”) submit requests through a process defined in the A.S. Constitution. During winter, the Finance Committee conducts hearings and recommends a budget to the A.S. President, who either approves the budget and forwards it to the Senate or returns it with recommendations to the Finance Committee for reconsideration, who then forward the reconsidered budget to the Senate. The budget is reviewed and, as appropriate, approved by the Senate and then sent on to the University President for final review and, as appropriate, approval.
