CSUN ASREC Outdoor Adventures is a newer program, giving students the opportunity to explore, learn and enjoy outdoor opportunities.  Though located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, this Los Angeles area is central enough to allow access many outdoor areas such as the Pacific Coastline, The National Forest, the foothills, and the desert.  With these natural wonders so close, it allows us to enjoy a wide range of activities from day hikes, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, surfing, nature walks, skiing and snowboarding.
Student participating on outings will learn how to recreate safety in the great outdoors, in addition to developing an understanding of our natural surroundings, leading to the ability to enjoy and appreciate our earth’s natural beauty and all it has to offer!
