Fitness is a part of a healthy lifestyle and the Associated Students Recreation Sports provides the opportunity to CSUN students. A.S. Recreation offers many great activities and places for CSUN students to be active and have a good time as well. A.S. Recreation offers intramural sports, sports clubs, the Fitness Centre, and open gym.
Intramurals is for students to play a sport they like without the pressure of competition. Sports clubs sets off Intercollegiate Athletic Program with other universities, clubs, fraternities, or sororities. The Fitness Centre has aquatics, group fitness classes, weights, cardio machines, and much more. The fitness centre will be expanding and a recreation center will be created tentatively for the 2010-2011 school year. The open gym includes a place to play basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. All CSUN students are strongly encouraged to get out there, exercise, and meet new people while you’re at it.
